A ladder, steps and rails are an important and a more often overlooked safety feature to any pool.
Ladders and steps offer help to young, tired or inexperienced swimmers, helping them get in and out of the pool safely.
Above Ground Pool Ladders
For above ground pools without a deck, an A-frame ladder is used to give access to and from the pool. This type of ladder is placed over the pool wall and has two sides.
They can be adjust in order to match the height of your pool wall. They are especially useful for young children.
Above Ground Pool Steps
Pool steps add luxury and style and offer a more elegant entrance and exit than ladders. Steps are also easier for the elderly and disabled to use. It features a handrail on one or both sides.
In-ground Pool Ladders
Ladders for in-ground pools are usually installed in the deep end of the pool. They typically have stainless steel handrails. The number of treads can differ from two to five. The rails are attached to anchor sockets which have to be installed in the pool deck.
In-ground Pool Steps
Most in-ground pools have entry steps built into the concrete or fiberglass when the pool is constructed but some do require the purchase of a separate set of steps.
Drop In steps are typically added to an existing pool that was built without steps.
Vinyl over steps are ideal for anyone wanting more of an expensive gunite look.
